Privacy
Short version: the numbers you type into TipCalc never leave your device.
What happens to your inputs
Every calculator on this site — the tip calculator, the reverse calculator, the bill splitter and the charts — runs in JavaScript inside your browser, on the page, as you type. Bill amounts, tax rates and headcounts are not transmitted to any server, not written to any database, and not kept after you close the tab. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
Cookies and analytics
TipCalc itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in local storage for the calculators. Like most websites, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability; those logs contain the pages requested, never the figures you entered into a calculator, because those figures are never sent.
Third parties
The site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, trackers or advertisements. Everything needed to render and calculate is served as part of the site itself. If that ever changes, this page will say so plainly, before or at the moment it changes.
Questions
TipCalc is a small independent tool. If anything on this page is unclear, the about page describes how the site works and why.
